In your new role:

• Report directly to the purchasing manager
• Develop, build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers
• Negotiate best prices and lead time with all suppliers
• Represent the company in meeting with suppliers both internally and externally to analyse performance
• Manage material costing and all associated material aspects on nominated customer programs
• Work closely with the materials department enssuring the timely supply of materials into the company fopr the smooth running of the supply chain
• Introduce ideas and contribute to the overall team strategy
• Ensure all measures are taken to ensure KPI's set for you and your team are achieved consistently
• Work closely with all relevant departments as required to ensure the smooth running of supply chain
• Filling of purchase orders

What you will need to succeed:

• A university degree with 2 plus years' experience in a similar role
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, mechanical or moulding environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• A university degree (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
