Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the purchasing of both finished goods and made-to-order products, ensuring the right materials and products are available to meet customer demand and project deadlines.

Package:

• £36,000 - £39,000
• Hybrid

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met
• Raising and processing purchase orders in line with MRP / system requirements
• Negotiating prices, terms, and lead times with existing and new suppliers
• Monitoring stock levels and supporting effective inventory control
• Working cross-functionally with sales, planning, and operations teams to align supply with demand
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain

Essential:

• Proven background in purchasing or procurement
• Experience buying finished goods or made-to-order items
• Strong commercial awareness with solid negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
• Comfortable working to deadlines and managing priorities
  
  

Desirable:

• Experience using an ERP/MRP system
• CIPS qualification or working towards it
