Continuous Improvement Engineer
Carrickmacross (Co. Monaghan)
€50k - €60k

Vickerstock are currently working in partnership with one of the world's largest Food Firms to assist with the recruitment for a Continuous Improvement Engineer. Our client employees around 60000 people across the globe and are one of the worlds biggest food companies.

You will work with some of the most talented individuals in the industry to assist with the lean manufacturing practises across the site.

Your key responsibilities as a Continuous Improvement Engineer

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of the CI process through the site functions.
  • Be an integral member of a team of multi-skilled stream experts to deliver and exceed targeted KPI's, focussed on a comprehensive fault finding and analysis process.
  • Support team with root cause identification and solutions designed to prevent repeated failures using lean tools and techniques.
  • Liaise with department streams through Kaizens, understanding issues and setting plans to resolve.
  • Carry out technical reviews with PSM & Engineering Lead on core systems and work with suppliers to optimise across site
  • Update / maintain all asset documentation as required such as machine settings, manuals, PLC back-ups, labelling & PPM schedules resulting from CI works.
  • Document and train maintenance Standard Work and Standard Operating Procedures arising from CI works.
  • Apply analytical data techniques to prioritise work in conjunction with the Production Streams.

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, ideally you will have.

  • An industry recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 2 years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • Proven problem solving skills.
