Design Technician (Fit Out) | County Antrim

Working alongside one of Northern Ireland's leading specialist joinery and fit out contractors, Vickerstock are recruiting for a Design Technician.

Our client specialises in bespoke projects across commercial & Leisure projects and has an impressive reputation within the local market. Having recently been awarded a new contract they are seeking an experienced design technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced designer to join a highly reputable employer and progress their career on exciting high end bespoke joinery projects.

Design Technician (Fit Out) Role :

Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for reproducing detailed drawings and designs on CAD for a range of luxury projects specifically with a view to premium high end bespoke joinery categories. Duties include;

• Produce 2D detailed drawings with relevant software
• Create job sheets for Production
• Quantify and requisition materials
• Attend site surveys & site visits to assist installation team

Design Technician (Fit-Out) Criteria

• HND qualified or above within a construction related subject and/or a minimum of 5 years experiences using AutoCad in a design and detailing nature.
• Experienced in high end fit detailing and design specifically for manufacturing. (Desirable)
• Proficiency in understanding how the project is put together (coming from a site or manufacturing background may be beneficial)
• Completed relevant industry qualifications / training.
