Electrical Estimator | Hybrid
Vickerstock are working with a local building services company who specialise in the design, supply and installation of MEP engineering projects across sectors such as Health care, Commercial and Education throughout the UK and Ireland. This company has developed a strong reputation through their ability to deliver on multi-million-pound contracts, Facilities management and other complex MEP projects. The company has grown significantly over recent years due to continuous investment in both their teams and facilities. Due to demand, they now have several Commercial roles available including an Electrical Estimator.

Your new role as an Electrical Estimator
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, contributing to the commercial team, you will prepare accurate costings for projects. Responsibilities would include generating take-offs; this will require technical drawing knowledge and strong communication skills as you will be liaising with a range of subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare schedules of rates along with tender package information entailing competitive quotes to secure Tenders. Ensure all Tenders/Bids are submitted in a timely manner, identifying any potential risks.

What you will need to succeed as an Electrical Estimator

• Degree or HND Qualification within a construction related subject
• 3 years' experience in an Estimating or Quantity Surveying capacity
• experience working on NEC3/4 contracts
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages, CAD and use of estimating programs.
