I am recruiting an experienced Facilities Manager to join a leading organisation in Co. Down. This role offers the opportunity to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency across their facility. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to manage budgets, maintenance, and service contracts while ensuring a safe and productive working environment.

Your new role as a Facilities Manager;

  • Apply technical skills and ingenuity to the correction of equipment problems causing excessive production downtime and maintenance work as necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring all infrastructure and/or equipment selected is fit for purpose and fulfils all company, regional, national and local legislative regulatory requirements in its application and any materials used or manufactured within it are fit for purpose on completion.
  • Accountable for delivering the site maintenance asset care programme for utilities. Ensuring its effectiveness and efficient delivery measured through the use of standard KAMS KPIs.
  • Puts in place reliable data collection systems, performs regular analysis, and recommends and implements effluent, energy and utility reduction & improvement initiatives in line with best practice contributing to overall site conversion cost reduction.
  • Develops and maintains site utility KPI stats. Prepares, publishes & distributes weekly and monthly reports to both site & group stakeholders on performance.

What you will need to succeed as a Facilities Manager;

  • Degree in Environmental, Manufacturing, Engineering or relevant Science discipline
  • Up to date knowledge of local, national & regional codes of practice and regulations related to EUS
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of guidance from management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Strong analytical skills
