Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a world-leading heavy manufacturing organisation to recruit a Business Controller / Finance Business Partner for their Tyrone site.
This is a standout opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to step into a highly visible role within one of the most respected names in the sector. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Divisional Finance Director and site leadership team, you will directly influence financial performance, operational strategy, and key business decisions.
The Role
As Business Controller, you will be the driving force behind local finance operations, ensuring alignment with divisional and group objectives. This role is both strategic and hands-on, combining financial leadership with genuine business partnering to support growth, efficiency, and profitability.
Key responsibilities will include:
Building strong links between finance and operational teams to guide day-to-day decision-making and shape business direction.
Delivering clear, actionable insights through concise KPI and commercial reporting.
Leading and mentoring a multi-site finance team, embedding strong business partner principles.
Acting as the main contact for the UK shared services team and Sandvik Group functions.
Safeguarding compliance with internal controls and global reporting standards.
Driving cost improvement projects, supporting internal audits, and contributing to strategic initiatives.
What you will need
A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA preferred; ACCA/ACA considered).
At least 5 years' post-qualified experience in a commercially focused finance or business partnering role.
Broad exposure across operational functions such as R&D, supply chain, and sales.
Proven ERP system experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to challenge and coach cross-functional teams.
Manufacturing or engineering sector experience is highly desirable.
