Financial Controller

Dungannon


Vickerstock are working alongside a leading client based in Dungannon to recruit a Financial Controller.
The Financial Controller will manage the Site Finance Function and support the Management Team in all areas to maximize return and achieve overall Group objectives & targets.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage the finance function
  • To ensure routine activities & records with statutory and company requirements are in compliance with those requirements
  • To ensure the financial controls are in place to protect the integrity of the financial statements and the assets of the business
  • To ensure financial accounts are prepared in line with group accounting policies/ timelines and proper accounting records are maintained. To ensure records are maintained and stored adequately to comply with statutory and company requirements
  • To ensure Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and transactional tasks are carried out in line with proper process and control
  • To provide quality financial management information that is timely, accurate and relevant. To enhance reporting where required to aid the maximization of return and efficiency of performance.
  • Presenting the weekly, monthly & quarterly financial information to the local/ group management teams, highlighting relevant information and ensuring the current status of performance is understood
  • To prepare budget, forecasts and ad-hoc reporting/ analysis as required
  • Contribute with Local and Group management devising solutions/ strategies required to site issues

The Financial Controller should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE
  • Organisational skills capable of planning and coordinating the range of tasks required within a team with varied responsibilities
  • Strong Business Knowledge & Control acumen: Knowledge of the business, transactional and accounting processes are required to manage and implement required controls
  • Management: Team, Site and Group interactions at all levels are required
  • IT & Analysis: Proficient user and trainer within Microsoft Office, ERP and Production Systems
