Job description

HR Administrator

County Cavan

Vickerstock are proud to be working with our client, a leading production-driven business, to recruit an experienced HR Administrator. This is a true generalist role, supporting the HR Manager in delivering operational and strategic HR services across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in driving HR best practice, supporting change initiatives, and building people management capability within the site team.

Your new role as an HR Administrator;

  • Act as a trusted advisor to line managers, providing expert guidance on ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, etc.)
  • Support management teams to confidently handle people issues through coaching and advice.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations including absence tracking, probation reviews, and performance monitoring.
  • Generate and analyse HR metrics to drive site improvements.
  • Lead and participate in projects such as policy updates, audits, and strategic HR initiatives.
  • Oversee recruitment activities: advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure all HR processes are compliant and efficient.
  • Support training coordination and employee induction processes.
  • Promote and chair the site Employee Forum and champion wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensure payroll data accuracy and compliance in collaboration with payroll and H&S teams.

What you will need to succeed;

  • Previous HR experience at Administrator level or above, ideally in a manufacturing/operational setting.
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards) and holding a HR or equivalent 3rd level qualification.
  • Strong ER case management experience and knowledge of employment law.
  • Proficient in HR systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • High attention to detail, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • A true team player committed to company values: Passion, Ambition, Responsibility, and Teamwork

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to take their career to the next level with a well-established and respected company.
