Senior Civil Engineer - Water & Wastewater | Belfast
A well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior (or Associate-level) Civil Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team in Belfast. With a long-standing reputation for delivering complex civil engineering projects across Ireland and the UK, this company is recognised for its technical excellence, strong client relationships, and commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

Your new role as a Senior Civil Engineer - Water & Wastewater
As a key member of the civil engineering team, you will play a leading role in the design and delivery of major water and wastewater projects for public and private sector clients. From initial feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction support, and project management, you'll contribute your technical expertise and leadership to a variety of challenging infrastructure schemes.
You'll also support the mentoring of junior engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and act as a client liaison throughout the lifecycle of each project.

What you will need to succeed as a Senior Civil Engineer
To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered or near-chartered status (e.g. MICE or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in the design and delivery of water and/or wastewater projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of drainage, pumping stations, pipelines, treatment plants, or related infrastructure
  • Experience using relevant design and modelling software (e.g. Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoWorks ICM, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders, and project partners
  • A track record of working within multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects to programme and budget
