Human Resources Officer (£30k) - Newly Created Role

Vickerstock is delighted to be partnering with our client based in the North Down location in the recruitment of a newly created HR Officer position to join their highly-experienced HR Manager and Deputy HR Manager to provide HR Generalist support to up 400 employees onsite. This is a fantastic opportunity to achieve experience in all elements of HR including partaking in recruitment, assisting with employee relations, getting involved in updating their new HRIS System, payroll , revising existing HR Policies/procedures and assisting with performance management whilst availing of a highly-competitive benefits package.

What will you do as HR Officer?

As the HR Officer, you will be directly reporting into the HR Manager and working alongside the Deputy HR Manager to provide HR Generalist support up to 400 employees. Duties will include;

  • Assisting with the recruitment, selection and onboarding process of all employees ie. posting job adverts, shortlisting, arranging interviews, partaking in interviews, providing feedback and extending job offers.
  • Lead the induction process regarding HR Policies and Procedures to new employees
  • Supporting with the delivery of payroll and addressing payroll queries
  • Acting as a HR Advisor to line managers on investigations for disciplinaries and grievances
  • Partake in the digitilsation project of the new HR System
  • Assist in revising and implementing HR Policies and Procedures
  • Complete Access NI Checks of new employees
  • Assist with HR Projects ie. introducing new menopause policy

What do you need as HR Officer?

As the HR Officer, you will require the following;

  • Minimum of 3 years of human resources experience
  • Obtained a CIPD Level 5 or Human Resources Degree
  • Skilled in recruitment, payroll and utilising HR Systems
  • Obtained experience in assisting with employee relations cases, leading inductions and completing absence management review meetings.
  • Desirable to have experience completing Access NI Checks and working in unionised environments
