Vickerstock are proud to be partnering with a prominent wholesale distributor to recruit a skilled Inventory Planner / Stock Controller to join their team in Santry.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Inventory Planner / Stock Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient inventory management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategically managing inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking or running out of essential items.
  • Collaborating closely with our purchasing teams to determine appropriate stock replenishment quantities from suppliers.
  • Monitoring and analysing factors influencing demand, such as promotions, seasonal fluctuations, and new product introductions.
  • Ensuring timely and complete deliveries by coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with suppliers to maximise service levels and monitor performance.
  • Coordinating inter company stock transfers between branches to optimise inventory utilisation.
  • Working closely with operations and goods teams to maintain a smooth supply chain.
  • Regularly updating and maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting periodic stock audits.
  • Generating daily reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and promptly resolving any inventory discrepancies.

Essential Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in inventory management or stock control roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the UK.
  • Possession of a clean driving license.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier management experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory performance metrics and analysis.
  • Relevant professional qualifications, such as CIPS certification.
