€33280 - €39520 + 10% bonus after probation

Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of the UK and Ireland's leading employers within the building materials sector to assist them with the recruitment of a Junior Maintenance Engineer.

To be shortlisted for this position you must have experience working with and maintaining moving parts, such as motors, chains, gearboxes etc.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible and assist in daily lubrication maintenance activities, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of mechanical systems and equipment within the facilities. This role involves executing scheduled tasks, conducting inspections, and carrying out lubrication maintenance as directed by team leaders to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance.

You responsibilities as a Junior Maintenance Engineer:

• Applying lubricants to moving parts to prevent premature wear and ensure optimal machine performance.
• Lubricating bearings, motors, chains etc.
• Replacing air and oil filters as required.
• Servicing off gearboxes
• Collecting oil samples for lab analysis
• Changing oil and cleaning out oil reserves during shutdowns or planned stops.
• Keeping control of the oil store inventory.
• Be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude and be willing to upskill and continuously improve operations and Implement 5S(Lean) principles throughout site.
• Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, achieve targets and prioritise workload.
