Junior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical)

Vickerstock are working with a local building services company who specialise in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of pre-fab solutions for the commercial M&E sector across the UK and Ireland. The company has grown significantly over recent years due to continuous investment in both their teams and facilities. As a result of this growth, they are now seeking to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor.

Your new role as a Junior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical)

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist the commercial team with the preparation of accurate costings for projects. You will liaise with the commercial team for generating mechanical BOQ's for commercial contracts, ensuring all relevant information is available for pricing and complete monthly valuations to ensure effecient contract delivery. Negotiation and building relationships with clients and subcontractors is a vital part of this role, this would suit someone who is a good communicator, who is able to build and maintain strong relationships in a professional manor.

What you will need to succeed as a Junior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical)

  • Be Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying
  • At least 2 years Industry experience
  • Proficent in microsoft packages
  • Ability to work off owns inititaive and as part of a team
  • knowledges of contracts such as, JCT and NEC forms
  • Full UK driving licence
