Vickerstock are working in partnership with our client based in Armagh, a family run firm who have grown over the last 5 decades to become one of Ireland's leading suppliers of fresh produce to supermarkets and shops across the Island to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer.

In this role you will play a vital role in their operations by ensuring Machinery and Equipment across the site is Maintained to a high standard and that downtime is kept to a minimum, ensuring optimal levels of productivity.

Duties will include

• Carrying out Planned Maintenance on Production Machinery in line with PPM schedules, ensuring that these are followed correctly.
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out timely repairs to ensure minimal levels of downtime.
• Working with Electrical & Mechanical Machinery.
• Assisting in installations of new Machinery & Equipment.
• Liaising with other departments and keeping them updated with regards to the operational status of Machinery & Equipment.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records pertaining to Maintenance activities.

What you will need

• Time-served Engineering apprenticeship and/or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably within an FMCG environment.
• Strong Electrical & Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose faults on these types of systems.
• Experience with Planned Preventive Maintenance Programmes.
