Vickerstock are proudly working in partnership with our client based in Lisburn to recruit a Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer.

The role itself

  • Implement scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations to enhance plant efficiency and dependability.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and propose preventive measures.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on control systems, aiming to ensure uninterrupted uptime.
  • Communicate issue resolutions to technical support within the value stream.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on control systems, ensuring optimal uptime.
  • Contribute to plant improvement initiatives and develop maintenance procedures.

What you will need

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
  • Must have expertise in mechanical systems including gearboxes, bearings, and high-speed machines.
  • Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent with skills in fabrication, welding, and automation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA & industrial networks.
  • Proficient in reading Electrical, Mechanical & Pneumatic schematics/Engineering drawings.
