Our client is a market leading specialist global Manufacturer within the packaging industry, with a reputation for providing high-quality, sustainably produced fibre-packaging products to the food industry.

This is a great opportunity for somebody coming from a hands-on Maintenance Engineering background who would like a day-shift, more desk-based role and less hands-on role with a globally renowned firm.

The role itself

  • Coordinate machine overhauls to optimize downtime and efficiently complete larger tasks.
  • Organize plant shutdowns to address priorities effectively and allocate resources for a seamless restart.
  • Schedule daily reactive maintenance work, prioritizing tasks for efficient execution and minimizing machine downtime.
  • Plan staffing and skills during scheduled shutdowns, ensuring swift response to breakdowns.
  • Manage resources for planned overhauls and reactive maintenance, balancing scheduled work and unforeseen tasks.
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance budget, providing regular spending reports to the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Offer on-call support as needed.
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety policies rigorously.

What you will need

  • Experience in a Maintenance role within a Manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG).
