Manufacturing Engineer

Vickerstock is working in partnership with a leading Manufacturing firm in North Antrim to assist them with the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer.

The role involves working heavily with the manufacturing lead and will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes and equipment to maximise site quality, safety and to minimise cost of manufacturing.

Your key responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer.

• Communicate with source document preparers to clarify questions, resolve discrepancies, or obtain missing information.
• Review data entries and make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy.
• Gather, organise, and validate data before input.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and quality assurance departments to establish/implement containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
• Implementing best practice standard work on shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximise efficiency.
• Management of Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Generate reports to support accurate BoM creation and ensure a "right first time" approach.
• Schedule products in the ERP system according to the master production plan and any engineering updates.
• Participate in daily production meetings to stay informed on current production activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, planning, purchasing, stores, and manufacturing.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, ideally you will have.

• BEng in Engineering or relevant experience
• Experience working with Bill of Materials and ERP systems.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel.
