Job description

Manufacturing Manager
Belfast

Vickerstock are proud to be working in exclusive partnership with a ground-breaking, high-growth engineering and manufacturing business in Belfast that is redefining innovation within its sector.

This is a genuinely unique opportunity to take a leadership role within a company delivering next-generation technology with global impact - all from a purpose-built advanced manufacturing facility in Northern Ireland.

We are now seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee and scale up operations in a highly technical, low-volume, and high-complexity environment.

Why This Role?

  • Join one of Northern Ireland's most exciting and forward-thinking engineering companies

  • Lead a highly skilled multi-functional team with full end-to-end production responsibility

  • Influence the design and execution of industrialisation strategy during a critical growth phase

  • Play a key role in delivering truly transformative technology to market

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Production Director, you will lead the day-to-day running of the manufacturing function - driving performance across safety, cost, quality and schedule. You'll coordinate resource planning, operational delivery, and continuous improvement, while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and technical teams to ensure operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full line management of a growing production team (up to 100 headcount)

  • Ownership of daily operations, resource planning, and workflow coordination

  • Implementation of KPIs and performance management across the function

  • Cultivating a best-in-class Health & Safety culture

  • Driving continuous improvement through LEAN, 5S, and other methodologies

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and development of team leads and operators

  • Contributing to wider strategic decision-making as the business scales

What You'll Need:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related discipline

  • Previous experience managing large teams in a fast-paced production environment

  • Proven leadership in complex or high-growth manufacturing settings

  • Strong knowledge of LEAN principles, 5S and CI tools

  • Track record of embedding safety-first cultures and improving operational performance

  • Experience with low-volume, high-precision production (preferred, not essential)

  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure
