Vickerstock are proud to be partnering with an innovation-led healthcare technology provider based in the Ballymena area to recruit a Pharmacy Technology & Systems Specialist. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of pharmacy automation, digital medicines management, and system integration within a business currently undergoing significant scale-up and digital expansion.

The opportunity
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is ideal for a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician with a strong interest in healthcare technology, digital systems, and customer enablement.
You will play a key role in supporting the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing adoption of pharmacy automation and digital medicines management solutions. Acting as a bridge between clinical pharmacy practice and technology, you will help ensure seamless system integration, effective user training, and a high-quality client experience throughout the full customer lifecycle.
Your day to day
- Assist in delivering structured training programmes on pharmacy automation and digital medicines management platforms (e.g. robotic dispensing systems, electronic medication administration records (eMAR), automated dispensing lockers)
- Support the onboarding and implementation of new client sites, ensuring smooth system configuration and go-live processes
- Provide high-quality technical and operational support to existing customers, working collaboratively with the wider support and development teams
- Assist in system testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance standards are met
- Contribute to project coordination for new installations, upgrades, and system enhancements
- Analyse customer feedback, workflow challenges, and usage data to inform product improvements and service optimisation
- Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to support innovation, business cases, and product development initiatives
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client engagements
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and undertake travel across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and the UK as required
- Contribute to continuous service development through insights, digital optimisation suggestions, and process improvement initiatives
About you
Essential:
- Experience gained in a busy pharmacy environment - we welcome applications from Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, ACTs, or individuals with robotic dispensing/automation experience
- A genuine interest in healthcare technology, digital transformation, and system optimisation
- A passion for customer service, training delivery, and knowledge sharing
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Analytical mindset with an interest in research and continuous improvement
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience supporting pharmacies or care homes with pouching robots or automated dispensing systems
- Exposure to system implementation, software configuration, or digital healthcare platforms
