Vickerstock are working in partnership with a construction firm based in Tullamore on the appointment of a Procurement Manager.

Reporting directly to the CSO you will be managing and mentoring a Junior Buyer.

In your new role:

• Strategic approach to sourcing new suppliers, negotiating best price, lead time whilst continually monitoring performance
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
• Vetting existing supply chain to ensure the company is attaining best value for money
• Responsible for an annual spend of around €10M on materials
• Interfacing with the accounts department in the timely management of Purchase Orders, budgets and cashflow
• Frequently liaise with Site Teams to ensure the timely ordering of materials and delivery

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of 5 years experience working in a purchasing role at senior level within the construction industry
• Good understanding of sytems and all Microsoft Office packages

Desireable (It would be great if you have this but don't worry if you don't):

• Third level degree qualified
