Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established, award-winning food producer based in the North Down area, who are seeking to appoint an experienced Production Department Manager to join their leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, motivated individual with strong supervisory experience to take ownership of production performance and lead a dedicated team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Your day to day:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Production Department Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities and resources associated with the manufacture of high-quality products.
You will ensure production targets for output, quality, and efficiency are achieved while maintaining compliance with all relevant food safety and BRC standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Delivering on KPIs across production, quality, waste, yield, and on-time delivery.
- Leading daily production meetings, driving performance and accountability.
- Motivating and developing a cross-functional team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Ensuring all production and quality issues are promptly investigated and resolved.
- Managing attendance, holidays, and performance appraisals within the production team.
- Supporting and enforcing health, safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures.
- Working closely with technical and operations teams to ensure audit readiness and compliance with BRC standards.
- Implementing continuous improvement measures to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Your essential ingredients
The successful candidate will be a proactive, people-focused manager with a strong understanding of production processes and a proven track record in leading teams within a manufacturing setting.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role within production.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to plan, organise and drive performance in a fast-moving environment.
- Commercial awareness with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Competent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office.

- Experience within the food manufacturing sector
