Vicketstock are working in partnership with an ambitious manufacturing client based in Coleraine on the appointment of a Production Scheduler. In your new role:

  • Provide real time co-ordination and optimisation of materials and production schedules within the immediate horizon
  • Create and maintain production schedules to ensure all company goals are achieved and deadlines are met
  • Reduce costs and increase efficiency and productivity by creating effective schedules
  • Develop a strong understanding of the production processes and be able to generate and maintain effective daily and weekly schedules
  • Solve conflicts, seek to improve processes, and help fulfil company and manufacturing expectations
  • Idea generation geared toward moving to automated system driven solutions
  • Design, develop and document the detailed scheduling processes
  • Being the key support to manufacturing on daily operational deliverance, optimising, and balancing production lines for the best financial outcome
  • Ensuring planned targets are met by creating and managing daily scheduling processes
  • Provide visibility of production schedules and production order status to all internal stakeholders, and the corrective actions taken in recovering arrears and unscheduled stoppages
  • Generate reports and schedules through the applicable applications
  • Continual tracking of actual performance data against plan to ensure corrections can be made to keep on course
  • Assess work orders, evaluate, address and flag variances, updating MRP master data where necessary
  • Feed in to the strategic and tactical supply plans as needed to support the Eakin Business Planning process
  • Provide timely responses to all stakeholder queries and requests.
  • Liaise with Procurement team to alleviate any material constraints and provide visibility of future material requirements
  • Liaise with Logistics & Warehousing to review and alleviate any space constraints and issues affecting OTIF delivery to customers
  • Interface with wider Supply Planning team, Production and Demand Management to ensure on time delivery of our customers' orders
  • Support the improvement of processes and/or systems
  • Recording and reporting of Supply Planning KPIs as requested by Supply Planning Manager
  • Supporting monthly S&OP process, facilitating site capability reviews and data gathering as required
  • Monitor slow moving, short expiry, and obsolete FG stock at site, and liaise with Demand Management and wider operations team to minimise
  • Supporting Supply Planning and wider business continuous improvement projects and objectives
  • Supporting the review and maintenance of key planning parameters for FG and sub assembly SKUs
  • Supporting R&D process with scheduling of new product introductions and trials

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience in production scheduling via a scheduling application, not excel
  • Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions
  • A high standard of IT Skills
  • GSCE's (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • The ability to solve problems proactively and an effective decision maker
