Vickerstock are recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing business operating at the forefront of quality, safety, and production efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the site. Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:

* Work in full compliance with Health & Safety policies, always maintaining a safety-first approach.
* Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance - both preventative and reactive - across production lines and plant equipment.
* Deliver maintenance activities in line with all statutory and company Health & Safety standards.
* Collaborate closely with Production Shift Managers and production teams to achieve efficiency and performance targets.
* Ensure all maintenance work meets strict food safety and hygiene standards.
* Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring correct booking and stock levels.
* Oversee and coordinate contractors working on-site.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all engineering areas.
* Provide support for new installations, upgrades, and engineering projects.
* Create, review, and update work instruction documents and risk assessments as required.


What You'll Need as a Maintenance Engineer

* Time-served Engineer with both Mechanical and Electrical experience.
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
* A commitment to ongoing learning, with access to free upskilling opportunities.
