Production Supervisor (Food) | Craigavon


Vickerstock are delighted to be working EXCLUSIVELY with an up-and-coming Food Manufacturing client who creates delicious, healthy dishes to distribute throughout Northern Ireland on the appointment of Production Supervisor.


As the successful Production Supervisor, you will oversee the production area ensuring all steps are completed correctly and on time, ensuring quality standards are met along the way.


What we have to offer you:

  • £26,000-32,000 DOE

  • Holidays include closure from Christmas through to New Year!

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 4 pm (occasional Saturday morning work)

What your typical day as Production Supervisor will look like:

  • Pre-production checks for both Health & Safety and Hygiene.

  • Overseeing the daily production process and organised production schedules to ensure that it is running smoothly and efficiently and meeting targets.

  • Managing the workflow of employees on the production line by ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Maintaining production line equipment and machinery to prevent malfunctions or breakdowns.

  • Monitoring employee attendance, performance, and productivity.

  • Reviewing employee performance, addressing employee concerns, and coaching employees who need additional training.

  • Managing employees training programs to ensure that all employees are properly trained on the job before they begin to work.

  • Ensure staff are correctly attired in PPE.

  • Scheduling and co-ordinating the activities of workers on the production line.

  • Maintain a tidy and clutter free work area.

  • Overseeing completion of daily records for HACCP/SALSA, ensuring, and signing off all paperwork to the correct Food Safety Regulations.

  • Ensure company's rules and standards are fully enforced including correct tidy up post shift.

  • Ensure all products are handled and stored at correct temperatures and correctly labelled and fully traceable.

  • When required, select, order and purchase materials for production.

  • Determine Quality Control Measures

  • Ensure Health & Safety Regulations are met.

What you will need to succeed:

  • 2 years' experience (within past 5 years) in Supervising Food Manufacturing/HACCP/Food Safety

  • Proven Leadership and Team Management experience and qualities.

  • Methodical approach and meticulous work aptitude with strong initiative and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills

  • MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines with minimum supervision

  • Flexible with regards working hours when orders demand

Desirable Criteria (it would be great if you have these but don't worry if you don't!):

  • Degree or equivalent in Food or Engineering related discipline.

  • Food Hygiene Training

  • HACCP Training

  • COSHH Training

  • H&S Training

  • Bi-Lingual English - Polish, Portuguese, Ukrainian
