Project Planner (6-Month Contract)

Vickerstock are proud to be working in close partnership with a highly respected engineering firm to recruit an experienced Project Planner on an initial 6-month contract, supporting the successful delivery of complex technical projects.
This role is ideal for an experienced project professional with a strong engineering background and a proven ability to coordinate across departments, manage timelines, and keep high-value projects on track.
Your New Role:
You will take ownership of end-to-end project planning, ensuring alignment between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory functions. Your work will be central to maintaining momentum and accountability across key programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage detailed project schedules (e.g., Gantt charts, resource and timeline planning)
Break down overall objectives into clear, actionable tasks
Track cross-functional dependencies and highlight potential risks
Identify delays or blockers early and propose effective solutions
Act as a link between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and external stakeholders
Provide regular progress reports and status updates to senior leadership
What You'll Need:
A solid technical or engineering background
Experience in a project planning or coordination role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Proficiency in planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
A proactive, collaborative approach with strong communication skills
