Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a large industrial supplier on their search for a Purchasing Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis. Our client are interested in speaking to those who are interested in finding a career with genuine progression opportunities.
The Purchasing Coordinator will manage procurement activities across multiple sites, sourcing a range of product types, grades, and material compositions to meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and process purchase orders with a strong emphasis on accuracy, ensuring all pricing, quantities, and specifications are validated prior to issue.
- Coordinate and oversee the efficient receipt of inbound materials, ensuring alignment with the Goods Inward Schedule and internal procedures.
- Plan and schedule incoming deliveries, maintaining clear and consistent communication with suppliers, depots, operational teams, and commercial stakeholders.
- Proactively monitor supplier order books, progressing outstanding orders and resolving potential delays to safeguard supply continuity.
- Prepare and complete customs documentation accurately, ensuring full compliance with relevant import/export regulations.
- Provide flexible administrative and departmental support as required, including maintaining organised documentation systems, scanning and archiving records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to uphold high service standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience within a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator, capable of liaising effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Familiarity with customs documentation and regulatory compliance is desirable.
