Job description
Vickerstock are delighted to be recruitment partners with our client who are specialists in supplying free from products to millions of customers around the globe on the appointment of Quality Assurance Technician for their newly developed food manufacturing facility based in South Armagh.
As the successful Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of products.
What your day will look like:
- Work towards Production KPI in relation to output, waste, and cost.
- Execute the production plan adhering to running order and volumes
- Train new employees and agency workers in department specifics
- Implement good housekeeping procedures in the workplace and lead by example
- Observe and enforce appropriate Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene procedures always
- Verifying that products adhere to established quality standards and customer specifications
- Evaluating incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collecting and preparing samples for laboratory analysis.
- Conducting regular quality checks on the production line to ensure products meet standards.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of quality control procedures and findings.
- Ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and standards like HACCP
What you will need to succeed:
- Working effectively with other key functions: operations, technical, hygiene team, to ensure all aspects of duties carried out.
- Actively enjoys taking on new challenges and being creative.
- Takes ownership and responsibility of all issues and tasks they encounter.
- Motivated to do all tasks to the highest standards with an ability to inspire others to do the same.
- Good working knowledge of word and excel are essential.
- Flexible approach to working hours covering the needs of the business.
- Undertake other appropriate duties as deemed necessary within the scope of the role.
- Initiative to drive and meet targets.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
