Salary: £40-50K depending on experience
Location: Dungannon, Tyrone - With occasional supplier visits
Full time permanent position - 7.30am to 5 Mon - Thur and 7.30 to 2pm on Fri's

We are recruiting for a Quality Manager or Quality Lead role for an established Electrical Switchgear / Control Panel firm just outside Dungannon, Tyrone. This established client has a strong order book and predominantly operates across UK and Ireland as well as extending globally. Working within the electrical industry they specialise in the design and manufacture of high-quality LV Switchgear.
Key Responsibilities of this Quality Manager Position:
- Oversee the maintenance, implementation, and improvement of the company's ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 - certified Quality Management System
- Ensure the QMS is fully integrated into daily business operations and consistently followed by all departments
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and preparing for successful re-certifications
- Manage the identification, investigation, and resolution of non-conformances - Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances and prevent their recurrence
- Maintain a detailed log of non-conformances, tracking progress, and ensuring timely closure
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments, including production and design, to ensure that quality standards are incorporated into every stage of the manufacturing process
- Analyse quality data, including trends in non-conformances, to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent future issues
- Oversee the quality control (QC) inspection processes for incoming materials, in-process components, and final products
- Ensure that all electrical switchgear and control panels meet technical specifications and customer requirements before delivery
- Implement and maintain robust testing procedures, including final quality checks before product dispatch
- Lead and manage everything QA, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure success
- Work with the procurement department to ensure that suppliers meet the company's quality standards - Manage supplier quality audits and drive improvements in the quality of supplied materials
- Address customer complaints related to quality, coordinating investigations and resolutions
Essential criteria for this Quality Manager position:
- 5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment where you are personally responsible for the QMS systems (ISO 9001) and / or have set up these systems for a firm prior
- Proven track record of managing non-conformances and leading successful corrective action processes
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and industry standards such as IEC, UL, and NEC
- 3rd level qualified in a related field
- Preferably have a background experience in a similar electrical, switchgear or control panel related manufacturing business
