Senior Cost Manager

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a global construction leader, this renowned company offer specialist consultancy services across both major construction and infrastructure in numberous contries. Due to further project awards and an ever-growing pipeline of work in Northern Ireland, they now have a position for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join their commercial real estate team in Belfast.

Your new role as a Senior Cost Manager

In this position you will work client facing, advising, and managing the cost plans on the delivery of bespoke and exciting commercial real estate contracts across Belfast.

Day to day role will consist of: assisting on feasibility studies and procurement reports, estimating and financial planning, tendering and procuring sub-contractors, managing the pre-qualification stage, cost variances and the change control processes, produce monthly post contract reports to both Directors and Clients, offering value engineering options if required, negotiating and agreeing final accounts.

What you will need to succeed

• 3rd level degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 3 years' experience of working on the full lifecycle of projects delivering on high quality cost management services within either a Main contractor or PQS background
• Proven commercial awareness on JCT contracts

Desirable - (don't worry if you don't have these just yet - not essential)

• Working within a client facing role in a consultancy environment
• RICS qualified or has the ambition of attaining this Qualification
