Vickerstock are excited to be working in partnership with our leading Food Manufacturing client who are consistently improving and introducing new measures to improve their processes and products, due to this they need a highly motivated Senior Production Manager to join them at their impressive state of the art factory in County Cavan.
As the lead for the site's largest and busiest production area, you'll be responsible for overseeing the highest volume of product movement while managing a substantial portion of the site's operational workforce.
Key duties
- Lead and inspire a large, multi-skilled team including operators, supervisors, and shift managers.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement at all levels.
- Deliver on key performance targets including product quality, labour efficiency, yield optimisation, and waste reduction.
- Work cross-functionally with NPD, Value Add, Engineering, and Sales teams to streamline processes and drive growth in value-added products.
- Contribute to strategic projects that support site expansion, modernisation, and long-term operational resilience.
- Develop and mentor talent, fostering a high-performing team through succession planning, coaching, and leadership development.
We are looking for an experienced production leader with a passion for people, product, and performance.
Key Criteria
- Over 5 years' experience in FMCG/production environments, including at least 2 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of delivering results in dynamic, change-driven settings through effective transformation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Clear and empathetic leadership style, enabling teams to perform in the present while staying aligned with long-term strategic goals.
- Strong balance of pace and people-focus, driving continuous improvement while fostering team growth and engagement.
- Confident in achieving outcomes across key operational areas-productivity, quality, cost control, compliance, and workplace culture.
