Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading manufacturer located in the Ballymena area on the appointment of a Supply Planner.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the sourcing, purchasing and scheduling of all materials and consumables required for production.

In your new role:

• Source new suppliers for materials required, taking into consideration quality, cost and delivery factors
• Maintain the ERP systems with the price, lead-time and supplier details
• Issuing requests for quotations to approved suppliers for any new parts added to the Bill of Materials within the allotted component
• Responsible for purchasing all primarily production materials
• Responsible for calculating/anticipating demand and placing orders as required to maintain a constant flow of materials to support the production build plan
• Responsible for expediting orders
• Report daily on constraints likely to affect production
• Resolving any delivery or invoice queries in a timely manner
• Responsible for maintaining the material cost on the Bill of Materials for all products within the commodities you are responsible for
• Compare drawings of new parts with existing parts to ensure cost increases or decreases are justified
• Issue suppliers with monthly forecasts in order improve supply chain performance
• Actively pursue cost reduction initiatives within each commodity e.g., cost reduction programs with current suppliers and alternative supplier options
• Assist with supplier reviews in order to optimize the relationship. e.g., cost, delivery performance, quality performance, payment terms, warranty terms
• Liaise with Planning Department on timing issues related to Bill of Material release
