Technical Director (Civil Engineering) | Munster Region

Are you an experienced Senior Civil Engineer looking for a genuine progression opportunity? Do you want to take overall responsibility for project delivery and growth of a new office?

Vickerstock are working alongside a leading Northern Irish, multi-disciplinary consultancy to support in the recruitment of a Technical Director to support the opening of a new office in the Munster Region. Currently employing more than 140 technical staff in Belfast, this business are delivering a wide range of works Irish Water projects and are looking for a suitably qualified individual to take the lead for their new venture, with the ultimate aim of having someone become an equity Director in the organiations.

Your new role as a Technical Director (Civil Engineering)

This is a strategically important role which, alongside project delivery for Irish Water, will involve the management, development and growth of the new office. You will report to the Engineering director based in Belfast and together will set the strategic objectives for the growth of the new office. To start with, you will spend 50% of your time delivering IW schemes as part of D&B Contracts, with the remainder of your time used to drive the growth of the service offering . As part of the growth, you will also help to recruit direct employees for the new office.

What you will need to succeed as a Technical Director (Civil Engineering)

• A minimum of 15-years' experience in Water / Wastewater Design;
• Chartered status with one of the professional bodies;
• A recognised Project Management accreditation
• A track record of successfully managing all project deliverables;
• Significant experience working with Irish Water would be a distinct advantage;
