As the Technical Manager, you will be the driving force behind all aspects of technical, quality, and food safety compliance. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the highest standards are not only met but exceeded, with a strong emphasis on BRC, HACCP, and customer-specific requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the site's technical and quality assurance functions.
• Maintaining full compliance with food safety standards including BRC, HACCP, and major retailer specifications.
• Acting as the primary contact for customer audits and technical queries.
• Coordinating and preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
• Overseeing the maintenance and development of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Investigating non-conformances and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Driving continuous improvement across technical and operational processes.
• Staying informed on industry legislation, trends, and evolving best practices.

What you'll need:

• A strong background in food manufacturing or fresh produce with extensive knowledge of food safety and technical standards.
• Proven experience working with BRC, HACCP, and customer/retailer audit protocols.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• A passion for continuous improvement and innovation within the food industry.
