Vickerstock are working in partnership with an industry leading, material supplier to various construction companies throughout the UK & Ireland on the appointment of a Transport Manager.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will be fully responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, products & materials. You will be responsible for preparing transportation schedules & routes whilst liaising between management, drivers, and customers.
In your new role:
Management and coordination of all transport matters
Develop, implement, and improve transportation policies and procedures
Negotiate best price and lead times with Hauliers
Plan and supervise all shipments from production to the end-user
Liaise with suppliers to purchase certain materials & raise purchase orders
Manage all related paperwork
Working to timeframes and meeting deadlines
What you will need to succeed:
A minimum of 1 year experince in a similar role
A minimum of 3 years experience of managing / supervising a team
