Job description

Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with our client, an established consultancy providing specialist expertise across heritage, planning and construction, in the recruitment of an Archaeologist to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a background in archaeology and heritage to work on a wide range of projects across Northern Ireland.

The Role:
As Archaeologist, you will be responsible for supporting fieldwork and project delivery, including:

  • Undertaking archaeological surveys and excavations on site.

  • Recording, analysing and interpreting findings in line with professional standards.

  • Preparing reports and contributing to heritage impact assessments.

  • Liaising with project managers, contractors and statutory authorities.

  • Supporting compliance with planning and heritage legislation.

The Person:

  • Degree qualified in Archaeology, Heritage, or related discipline.

  • Previous experience in archaeological fieldwork and reporting.

  • Knowledge of relevant heritage and planning legislation.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
