Bid Writer | Multiple Locations

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's busy Business Development Department in a newly created Bid Writer position. Our Client is a leading main contractor, delivering Civil, Commercial and Building projects across a wide range of sectors including educational, residential and complex water and waste infrastructure and non-infrastructure works. Operating throughout the UK and Ireland, our client champion a progressive and sustainable approach to all aspects of their operations, helping teams to address complex challenges while contributing to local economies.

With a strong and robust pipeline of work, they are now seeking an experienced Bid Writer to support the company's growth strategy, with the option to work from any of their key offices in Northern Ireland (Dungannon), Republic of Ireland (Cork) or the East Midlands (Leicestershire).

Your New Role as Bid Writer

Bringing with you a track record of successful bids and knowledge of the construction/civil engineering industry, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth ambitions. Producing high-quality, compelling and credible material, which can be utilised throughout the bid process as well as for reporting and case study development. Maintaining and updating an efficient 'bid library', you will ensure all information is to the correct standard and compliant with bid requirements. Using excellent communication and influencing skills, you will achieve tangible results that contribute to the wider Department's success.

What you need to succeed

  • Five or more years' experience in a similar role within a Construction/Civil Engineering environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Evidence of writing in a technical field.
  • Have a team oriented approach while working to tight timescales.
