Quality Inspector (Temporary)
Location: Belfast
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000
Start: Immediate Start Available

Vickerstock are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing company who are at the forefront of innovation in their sector. We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a temporary basis with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on with unique, complex products in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 (pro rata)

  • Temporary contract

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

  • Immediate start available

The Role:
As a Quality Inspector, you will work closely with the wider team to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved and maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, audits, and testing on incoming goods and during manufacturing

  • Record inspection results, categorise defects, and validate rectification

  • Implement inspection methods, FMEA's, quality sign-off instructions, and process sheets for new and existing products

  • Analyse trends and liaise with relevant teams to eliminate defects at source

  • Participate in internal and external quality reviews

  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve any issues and ensure timely root cause analysis

  • Maintain and update quality documentation to incorporate lessons learned

  • Ensure all measuring and monitoring equipment is calibrated to schedule

  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives including 8D reviews, CAPA plans, 5S, and Kaizen events

  • Provide quality training to apprentices, technicians, and engineers with a focus on high-value composites and electric drivetrain manufacturing

  • Promote a strong health and safety culture within the quality team

What You'll Need:
Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in inspection/testing within a high-complexity, low-volume manufacturing environment

  • Proven experience working within a manufacturing quality function

Desirable:

  • Experience with quality tools for composite components

  • Knowledge of maritime industry standards

  • Understanding of zero-emission product quality requirements
