Business Development Executive

Vickerstock are delighted to continue our highly successful relationship with an established business to support in the recruitment of a Business Development Executive to cover Ireland. The role will involve extensive travel both throughout Ireland and the UK.

The successful candidate will be required be on site in their Newry offices on a regular basis, therefore, close proximity to the office and a full driving licence is required. There will be travel to GB once a month.

The successful candidate will be a high-calibre Business Development Executive with a strong track record to take a lead on new business development for a successful product within the hospitality sector.

You'll pro-actively target and engage new customers and leverage partner relationships to generate opportunities.

Your new role as a Business Development Executive

  • Ensure sufficient sales activity, territory coverage and future prospect development to achieve financial targets.
  • Take the lead in ensuring regular scheduled meetings with existing customers to review relationships and secure long-standing business.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of competitor strategy and activity to identify new areas of business growth.
  • Attend tradeshows and/or industry conferences to network and promote the business.

What you'll need to succeed as Business Development Executive:

  • A proven track history in business development and/or field-based sales
  • Possess the drive and enthusiasm necessary to deliver business growth targets, be results orientated.
  • Be creative, innovative and passionate in your approach to driving sales.
  • Excellent influencing, communication and strong negotiation skills with an ability to demonstrate appropriate business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Be collaborative and consultative approach to prospecting opportunities working with internal colleagues to maximise opportunities and knowledge.
