Civil Engineer | Energy Projects | Belfast
Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with an established local consultancy, well regarded for delivering infrastructure and energy-focused engineering solutions across the UK and Ireland. With projects ranging in value from £2m through to £100m, including involvement in one of the largest BESS facilities in the UK, the business is expanding its team and now seeks to appoint a Civil Engineer to join their Belfast office.

Your new role as Civil Engineer
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will:

  • Deliver civil engineering input across a portfolio of major energy and infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to construction support
  • Support investment clients with technical advice and project oversight
  • Contribute to design development, project management and multi-disciplinary coordination
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Engage directly with clients, contractors, and regulators to ensure smooth project delivery


What you will need to succeed as Civil Engineer
To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (Chartered or actively working towards Chartership encouraged)
  • Minimum 4-5 years post-graduate experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment, flexible on project / sector experience
  • Strong technical design capability alongside demonstrable project management exposure
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • The ability to manage deadlines and deliver on multiple live projects
  • NEC4 accreditation/experience (advantageous but not essential)
