Vickerstock Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of Northern Ireland's leading main contractors to recruit for the position of Civil Site Engineer. With a number of specialist divisions including Construction, Civil Engineering and Fit Out, this organisation has the capability and expertise to deliver highly complex projects across the full built environment spectrum. With offices across the UK, this local success story is now one of the UK's largest contractors and continues to go from strength to strength. This particular role is based in Scotland. You will be working on a £48 million harbour project.

Your new role as Civil Site Engineer

As Civil Site Engineer, you will use your own experience and skills to take full responsibility to ensure and deliver all aspects of this Civil Engineering project. You will ensure all staff are correctly inducted, and approved risk assessments and method statements (RAMs) are in place. You are responsible for keeping drawings, specifications, and other contractual documents up to date. You will chair subcontractor meetings, prepare minutes, and produce weekly/monthly progress reports as appropriate. Other duties as Civil Site Engineer will include: keep accurate daily records maintained and communicate; ensure management team are kept informed of the works; ensure works are being completed to agreed standards and within budget; and ensure all site activities are completed in compliance with company SHEQ policies and procedures.

What you will need to succeed as Civil Site Engineer

  • Good working experience in similar roles
  • A degree is Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • The ability/availability to travel to site
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Marine experience is preferable
