Cost Accountant

Vickerstock are currently working alongside our leading Manufacturing Client to recruit for a Cost Accountant based in Belfast. The Cost Accountant will work within the finance team and be responsible for providing the management team with accurate and timely information.

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for the following;

• Provide ad hoc information and advice to the management team
• Analyse changes in product design, raw materials and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost
• Develop and maintain the costing system to meet existing and emerging business requirements
• Work closely with the Group Financial Controller on challenging projects in a fast-paced environment
• Produce, analyse and distribute key reports to provide value-added financial information

The Cost Accountant must be able to demonstrate to following;

• Full / Part qualified accountant, working towards a full recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc.)
• Experience of costing within a manufacturing environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience of using Microsoft Excel and an ERP system
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to accurately provide and analyse reports
• Ability to use initiative to make decisions
