Electrical Design Manager

Vickerstock are working alongside an established specialist Mechanical and Electrical building contractor based in Northern Ireland to recruit for the position of Electrical Design Manager.

Due to continual growth they are looking to add an experienced Design Manager to the team to help expand operations.

Your new role as an Electrical Design Manager;

• Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with BG 2, BG3, BG 4 and BG 5 suite of documents
• Agree sub-consultants scope of works, BG6 and DRM roles and responsibilities
• Attend client and design team meetings
• Manage external consultants, main contractors and clients to develop MEP designs
• Verification of external consultants design s including detailed analysis of IES, Revit and Hevacomp output data.
• Verify external Consultants design data including review of IES and Revit models.
• Develop new and existing business opportunities

What you will need to succeed in this role;

• Minimum of 6 years' experience in an Electrical Services design role either consultancy or contractor
• Minimum HNC /HND in building services engineering or equivalent.
• Membership of CIBSE / IHEEM /IET (or similar professional body) preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of design principles and use of IES (Mech) and Revit design software preferred but not essential
• Fully proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Willingness to travel (not every day but as required)
