Electrical Site Supervisor (BESS) | County Offaly
Are you an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a background in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects?
We're partnered with an internationally renowned engineering consultancy to recruit a Site-Based Electrical Supervisor for a live BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) installation in County Offaly. This is a long-term project critical to grid stability and energy security with the successful individual engaged on a FTC basis.
Your New Role as an Electrical Site Supervisor
You'll be the electrical eyes and ears on the ground for a major European consultancy with a reputation for excellence in power, renewables, and grid infrastructure. The client operates at the sharp end of the energy transition, and this BESS project is one of several lined up across Ireland and the UK. Responsibilities will include;
- Supervising on-site electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with project designs and specs
- Overseeing contractor activities, quality assurance, and adherence to health & safety protocols
- Acting as the interface between the client's engineering team and site operations
- Monitoring daily progress, reporting site issues, and maintaining strong documentation standards
- Supporting testing, commissioning, and energisation phases alongside the wider project delivery team
What You'll Need to Succeed as an Electrical Site Supervisor
- A minimum Level 6 electrical qualification (or equivalent) with experience in HV/LV systems
- Strong background in energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects (BESS/solar/grid preferred)
- Confident in interpreting electrical drawings, specs, and technical standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead subcontractors on a live construction site
- Up-to-date Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and ideally PSCS knowledge or training
