Engineering Project Manager | Belfast
Vickerstock are delighted to be representing a globally recognised engineering consultancy, renowned for delivering major water, environmental and infrastructure programmes across the UK, Ireland and internationally.

As they continue to strengthen their technical presence in Northern Ireland, this organisation is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to take the lead on the delivery of key water and wastewater infrastructure projects, working with major clients including NI Water, Uisce Éireann, and under the upcoming AMP8 framework in England.

Your new role as Engineering Project Manager
In this role, you will take responsibility for managing the design and delivery of complex infrastructure schemes, ensuring technical, commercial and programme objectives are met. You'll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver efficient, sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the planning and delivery of water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure projects from concept through to completion
  • Coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and ensuring technical excellence across all deliverables
  • Managing budgets, schedules, risk and quality to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Acting as the main client interface, developing trusted relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners
  • Supporting framework delivery for NI Water, Uisce Éireann, and AMP8 projects across the UK and Ireland
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to engineers and project delivery staff


What you will need to succeed as Engineering Project Manager
To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status (ICE, IMechE, or equivalent) or working toward it
  • Proven experience managing engineering design projects within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financial management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery
