Estimator | Civil

Vickerstock are working alongside a Civil engineering contractor who deliver on large scale infrastructure maintenance and utilities contracts across The UK and Ireland, and more recently venturing into Europe.

Based in Belfast, with a turnover of £30 million, this company have ambitions to continually evolve and develop into new markets. Due to the continued success and market demand, they are now expanding their commercial teams and have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join their Civils division.

Your new role as an Estimator

Reporting to the Director, day to day duties will include the analysis of tender documentation including reading designs, liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers to attain quotations in a timely manner. Preparation and submission of cost estimates for materials, transport, labour, and equipment required, provide detailed scope of works with breakdown, highlighting and advise any potential risks associated with projects within agreed timeframes. Monitor project costs to ensure works are within agreed budgets and to the client's specification. Assist the Bid's team when tendering for new contracts and maintain a strong relationship with contractors and suppliers.

What you will need to succeed

• Degree or HND within a relevant construction subject
• 3+ years' experience in a similar background in Civils, Utilities or Build
• Experience of working on NEC or JCT contracts
• Proven ability of working on contracts from £550K to £1 million plus
