Job description

Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with our client a forward-thinking packaging manufacturing organisation committed to excellence and continuous improvement on the appointment of Quality Technician based in Co Kildare.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will take ownership of quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the business. You will be instrumental in developing and embedding LEAN systems, supporting operational teams, and driving a culture of quality excellence.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading internal quality audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Managing root cause analysis and driving corrective and preventative actions
  • Supporting the development and implementation of SOPs and quality plans
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN methodologies
  • Monitoring KPIs, analysing data, and producing trend reports
  • Supporting product inspection, release processes, and quality controls
  • Promoting quality awareness and delivering training across teams
  • Managing non-conformances and customer feedback processes


What you will need to succeed:

  • A third-level qualification in Science, Food, Production, or a related discipline
  • Experience or exposure to LEAN / Six Sigma / continuous improvement methodologies (highly desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
