Vickerstock are proud to be working in exclusive partnership with a global leader in heavy manufacturing, to appoint a Business Controller/Finance Business Partner at their site in Tyrone.

This is a rare opportunity for a commercially driven finance professional to step into a highly visible leadership role within one of the most respected names in heavy manufacturing. As a key strategic partner to the Divisional Finance Director and site leadership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial performance, decision-making, and operational strategy.

About the Role:

As Business Controller, you will act as the financial conscience of the business, leading local finance operations while supporting divisional and group-wide objectives. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with a strong focus on business partnering and continuous improvement.

Your remit will include:

  • Interfacing between finance and operations to influence day-to-day decisions and shape the business's direction.
  • Presenting commercial insights and KPIs in a concise, actionable format.
  • Leading and developing a multi-site finance team, coaching and mentoring on business partner principles.
  • Acting as a key liaison with the UK shared services team and Sandvik Group functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and global reporting frameworks.
  • Supporting internal audits, cost improvement projects, and strategic initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA preferred; ACCA/ACA also considered).
  • A minimum of 5 years' post-qualified experience in commercially focused finance/business partner roles.
  • Exposure to a wide range of operational areas including R&D, supply chain, and sales.
  • Experience using ERP systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to challenge, coach, and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable.
