Financial Controller

Co Tyrone

Vickerstock are working alongside a leading client based in Co Tyrone to recruit a Financial Controller for a period of 1 year.

The Financial Controller will be a key part of the management team and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Hybrid working model with an excellent salary and benefits package.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage the finance function including sales and purchase ledgers, payroll, cash and banking and stock control
  • Provide guidance to key stakeholders, with the overall aim of optimising the company's financial performance and strategic position
  • Ensure the company's internal controls are robust, compliant and support current activities & future growth
  • Lead & initiate liaison with auditors, business advisors and funding partners
  • Guide the company on Research & Development tax credits and support
  • To have an overview of the activities & budgets of each department & to provide support on strategies to improve return on investment
  • Manage & lead a small team of Accounts staff

The Financial Controller should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree educated with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant discipline or qualified by experience
  • Experience gained within a similar role within industry
  • Fully qualified with a recognised accreditation (ACCA / FCCA or equivalent)
  • Highly proficient in the use of all MS Office Suite, Sage Accounts and Payroll packages
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial processes and regulatory requirements
  • Commercially astute and strategic, with a pro-active & hands-on approach
