Job description

Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our Food Manufacturing client who are committed to excellence on the appointment of Food Safety & Quality Graduate for their site based close to Lurgan.

The successful candidate will be employed on a 2-year fixed term contract and will receive hands-on experience within a busy quality department.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Fully conversant in the company's Food Safety, Quality and Laboratory systems.
  • Microbiological Testing
  • Chemical Testing
  • Product Release
  • Quality KPI's - trending and taking action where required.
  • Food Safety & Quality Systems and document control.
  • HACCP and Food Fraud / Defence.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Customer / Supplier complaint management.
  • Hygiene and Sanitation.
  • Compliance with external standards (e.g. BRC, Customer Codes of Practice).
  • Internal Auditing - audit design, completion and noncompliance.
  • Problem solving techniques.


What you will need to succeed:

  • Degree or equivalent in a technical, food related or science-based discipline.
  • Self-motivated individual who has determination and drive to succeed
  • First class communicator who has excellent interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to Food Safety & Quality and a passion to promote food safety culture with a 'can-do' attitude you will have a commitment to support continuous improvement and change
  • Team player who is also able to work unaccompanied
  • Able to prioritise multiple activities/requirements and to complete them to the expected level of detail and accuracy
  • PC skills with a good understanding of all Microsoft Office Packages
