Job description
Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our Food Manufacturing client who are committed to excellence on the appointment of Food Safety & Quality Graduate for their site based close to Lurgan.
The successful candidate will be employed on a 2-year fixed term contract and will receive hands-on experience within a busy quality department.
What your day to day will look like:
- Fully conversant in the company's Food Safety, Quality and Laboratory systems.
- Microbiological Testing
- Chemical Testing
- Product Release
- Quality KPI's - trending and taking action where required.
- Food Safety & Quality Systems and document control.
- HACCP and Food Fraud / Defence.
- Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Customer / Supplier complaint management.
- Hygiene and Sanitation.
- Compliance with external standards (e.g. BRC, Customer Codes of Practice).
- Internal Auditing - audit design, completion and noncompliance.
- Problem solving techniques.
What you will need to succeed:
- Degree or equivalent in a technical, food related or science-based discipline.
- Self-motivated individual who has determination and drive to succeed
- First class communicator who has excellent interpersonal skills
- Commitment to Food Safety & Quality and a passion to promote food safety culture with a 'can-do' attitude you will have a commitment to support continuous improvement and change
- Team player who is also able to work unaccompanied
- Able to prioritise multiple activities/requirements and to complete them to the expected level of detail and accuracy
- PC skills with a good understanding of all Microsoft Office Packages
